Field Network Technician Pacific Office Automation Sacramento, CA

Pacific Office Automation is seeking a motivated Network Support Technician to join its growing technology team. As one of the nation’s largest independently owned office technology dealers, POA provides innovative office equipment, managed IT services, and networking solutions across 11 western states. This role involves supporting client networks, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and assisting customers with Windows environments and Microsoft applications.

  • Support and troubleshoot network connectivity, security, and Wi-Fi environments
  • Work with Windows Server environments and desktop operating systems
  • Assist clients through technical discovery and problem resolution
  • Configure and support networking protocols including TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, SMB, and ports
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical customers via phone, email, and documentation
  • Travel locally to client sites as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous network field experience
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
  • Experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft applications
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Mac OS environments
  • CompTIA Network+ certification
  • Managed IT services experience
