I found and posted four job listings. I checked Linkedin and still no responses from any grads of the program but I will keep doing my best. Today was my first time using Mastadon and Bluesky which I have never heard before. I was able to find something on Mastadon. When I searched the keyword disabled, a lot of the posts were people asking for money. The keyword inclusion gave me better results but still I had to look for ones that were not asking for donations or getting too political. I asked in the chat if Youtube would be okay so I searched Youtube for videos about disabilities. I found two really good videos. The first one was about disabled artists from Oakland and the second was a sweet story about a family adopting a child from China who has down syndrome. Other videos were good but they had negative language which would not suitable for some of the CTP participants. I found an event on Facebook but it is in Vacaville which does not work for all lot of people in the program. I was going to post job fairs for people with disabilities but I did not want to offend anyone in the program. This internship is teaching valuable real life experience and I am taking in everything I learn. Happy that today is Friday and looking forward to the weekend.
