Boston Consulting Group is hiring an IT Service Specialist to support office staff and consulting teams with day-to-day technology needs. The role focuses on technical support, device setup and maintenance, troubleshooting, customer service, and ensuring reliable IT operations in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for laptops, desktops, smartphones, conferencing systems, and office technology
  • Set up, configure, image, and maintain computers and software
  • Troubleshoot Windows, Office Suite, VPN, and network connectivity issues
  • Manage IT inventory, hardware repairs, and vendor coordination
  • Support meetings, events, and video conferencing systems
  • Track and document issues through ServiceNow
  • Collaborate with local and global IT teams on projects and upgrades
  • Maintain security, reliability, and efficiency of office technology
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Team-oriented, organized, and proactive
  • Comfortable working independently and under pressure
  • Detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities
  • Interested in continuous learning and IT development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years in a similar IT support role
  • Experience with:
    • Windows 10
    • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • VPN/network troubleshooting
    • PC/laptop hardware and software
    • Mobile devices and basic networking/server administration
