Boston Consulting Group is hiring an IT Service Specialist to support office staff and consulting teams with day-to-day technology needs. The role focuses on technical support, device setup and maintenance, troubleshooting, customer service, and ensuring reliable IT operations in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for laptops, desktops, smartphones, conferencing systems, and office technology
- Set up, configure, image, and maintain computers and software
- Troubleshoot Windows, Office Suite, VPN, and network connectivity issues
- Manage IT inventory, hardware repairs, and vendor coordination
- Support meetings, events, and video conferencing systems
- Track and document issues through ServiceNow
- Collaborate with local and global IT teams on projects and upgrades
- Maintain security, reliability, and efficiency of office technology
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Team-oriented, organized, and proactive
- Comfortable working independently and under pressure
- Detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities
- Interested in continuous learning and IT development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years in a similar IT support role
- Experience with:
- Windows 10
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- VPN/network troubleshooting
- PC/laptop hardware and software
- Mobile devices and basic networking/server administration
