The County of Sonoma is seeking an experienced and innovative Information Systems Director to lead its countywide technology strategy and operations. Reporting directly to the County Executive, this executive leadership role oversees the Information Systems Department, including a leadership team of five senior managers and a $62.9 million budget.
The Director will guide IT governance, strategic planning, and enterprise technology initiatives across a large and complex organization. Key priorities include improving efficiency through system and service consolidation, strengthening cross-department collaboration, and delivering modern, customer-focused technology solutions that support County operations and community services.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with collaborative leadership skills, the ability to build consensus, and experience leading large-scale organizational and technology transformation initiatives.
