What I did Today

Today’s class was very straightforward. We started with typing practice. Even though 82 words per minute sounds like a lot, I felt a little rusty being a Monday morning. Our learning module for these week is BerkMart Point-of-Sales training, and we went into to WordPress to add our bios to the About Me pages for BerkMart.

Planning for the mock interviews which will be held with United Business Bank on Thursday, we accelerated a bit through the planned coursework and did the BerkMart Flyer today. The task was to advertise some of the items that are available on the BerkMart website, any special events that might be coming up at BerkMart, or any other way to entice customers to buy something at our store. My special event was “Magic the Gathering” on Wednesday, even though I’ve never done this myself.

The other thing that was due today was the Skillsoft Percipio course. I did mine on Six Sigma, and even though I have a certification in the subject, it’s been over ten years since I went over the subject matter. It felt like good review, and I wonder if it will help finding a job involving process improvement methodology. Tonight or tomorrow I will look at information available online about United Business Bank or the specific career openings at the bank.
