What I Did Today

This week was a Mock Interview Heavy week at BerkMart/CTP. I think I was on-time most, if not all of the time. Since we covered What I did this week on Wednesday, I will mostly write about how Mock Interviews went and our Employment Services time with Carrie today.

I had a really good first interview yesterday, where I was able to draw from my experience and relate to the interviewer more directly. The answers I gave were concise and when I didn’t directly use the STAR method, she reminded me during my feedback time how to answer some of the questions and improve my chances of landing a job.

The second interview was tougher, normally from what I experience on 2x Interview days. It seemed as though we ran out of time to get complete feedback. As well, I felt to a large degree that I was repeating myself or the plan for the narrative didn’t go the way I wanted.

Today in ES we watched Devin’s video on Job Search websites, followed by searching some of the websites for our job search ourselves. I also did an exercise where we updated a bad, phony resume. I learned a few things on how to improve my resume (finally!) and will be taking it to the Bank. I also did some individual interview practice with Antonio from ES.
