Most of the day was working on the networking lab. I finished up the prelab and was finally able to move onto the actual lab. For today, that mostly involved setting up the pfSense Virtual Machine (VM). Which unfortunately is extremely temperamental so I had to go in and modify a bunch of settings to make sure it was just right. Like my original VM was giving me error messages because on the directions it said to set the VM to Linux and Other Linux when in actuality pfSense is BSD and FreeBSD. Oh well….that’s part of learning. Hopefully I’m past the hard part of the lab and its at least smoother sailing from here on out.
