Today, we continued to work on our Remote Connectivity lab. I feel much more comfortable with the concepts to be learned, and I could even explain them to someone else if I wanted. This was what we did for the entire day, which is good because I really do enjoy lab time.

Today We began our Remote Connectivity Lab. We spent the entirety of the day working on this lab. I will say that I had an information Overload initially. By remaining calm, talking to my peers, and with help from the instructor, I can confidently I unsderstand what we are doing in this lab.

Today I got to meet two new students and practice professional networking by discussing career goals and professional backgrounds. I polished my Linked In profile and we finished the day by practicing interview questions, which feel more comfortable every single week.

To begin class, I shared my tech article with the other CTT students, and learned about bubble robots, which left me questioning how to even define a “Robot” The second and third portions of class were spent working on BerkMart Conference slides, which I did enjoy because it was a project that allowed me to …

Today I spent the entire day working on the BerkMart event project, which was certainly a long project. I feel like I learned a lot by doing this project, including the power of Google Sheets!

Today, after typing practice, we watched a presentation giving an overview of using Google Sheets The second and third parts of class were spent working on the BerkMart Event Project. I learned again that I need to learn to understand instructions clearly and make no assumptions, skip no steps.

Today we watched an orientation slideshow, making sure that we all know what we will be doing, what is expected of us, and what the instructors will be here for. Today I practiced typing, really trying to keep my fingers placement on the home row, which is hard for me and has brought down my WPM drastically. We continued the day by ensuring phones are setup then proceeded to act out some scenarios with the phones, practicing transfers, and we also set up unavailable voicemails …

I learned that I have a long way to go when it comes to typing practice, but practice makes perfect. The class made sure that everyone had a working phone connection for the exercises later this week, and we spent the second half of class working on the Independent Challenge.

Today I learned about several different job search websites and how to efficiently search for jobs on these websites Additonally I looked into possible volunteer opportunities in my area, and practiced some interview questions
