Today we started with our 15-minute typing practice. We worked on the Core Fix These Letters Assignment. Marc went over them with us and helped some of us perfect the assignment. We also worked on a Cover Letter Assignment. Today was another great day full of learning and communicating with Mike and Marc. I appreciate all their effort every day in helping us learn the skills we will need to get back in the workforce!
What I did Today
We worked fix my letters assignment. We also started working Sunshine Express Cover Letter.
What I did today
In the first hour I did AWEX orientation with Carrie, and posted some job listings. In the second and third hours I made a spreadsheet to track AWEX volunteer’s worked hours, and began looking over a Google Slides project on finding job listings.
What I Did Today
Today, I started the shift by practicing my typing skills. Then I worked on fixing letter examples through formatting. Lastly, I worked on creating a cover letter for a legal administrative assistant position that I looked up online.
What I did today.
What I Did Today
As a class, I (we) learned about skills development and how what we are learning can be applied in the job environment. We learned about the application called Slack and how it’s used in a job setting (similar to Discord) as well. Additionally, we learned about how to connect to our virtual workstation for the next 3 months. Lastly, we learned how to create tickets for our future businesses we’ll work for in the future.
What I did today
I learned how to make a cover letter. I learned how to fix a letter to make it look professional.
What I Did Today
During today’s class instructor Jose Rivera went over WordPress and what skills, if any, my colleagues and I in the CTT course can practice as we become more immersed in the program. Jose also spent some time helping my classmates and I get fully set up with the tools and resources we will be using more as time progresses.
Prior to class I had also viewed the Skillsoft course on Fundamental Security Concepts, in which I gained some cursory exposure to the world of computer network security. The idea here is that eventually I will take the COMPTIA A+ certification test and be able to communicate and showcase my accomplishments through this program to prospective employers.
I’m really looking forward to this course. Stay tuned on my progress!
What I did today.
Today in class, we worked on our “fix the letter” assignment, and we also had time to work on our “what we did today.”
