Today we had our weekly Employment services class. We started the day out my getting familiar with various job seeking sites other the Indeed , like Work force 50 or Caljobs.org.
I finish my first draft of my cover letter.
The last part of today’s class were practice interview question.
we started class with typing practice for 15 minutes. a few students spoke about their flyer assignment. then we learned how to create Folders and Nesting. for the rest of the class, we were given time to catch up on homework and take a course from Percipio.
I practiced typing for the class, then I presented my accountability project on “Flyer Research”. I did three of the flyers on the Human Touch Exhibition, Mental Health Awareness Month, and the 2026 Global Growth seminar. I said that my favorite flyer is the Mental Health Awareness Month because it resonates with my reality. Then the instructor went over the in-class work of creating folders and nesting them. I created the PRO folder nesting with the month folders, week folders, and homework and class materials folders. Afterwards, I started to do more of the Core Portfolio project by adding more pictures and then finished it with a recording so that I could present it.
A couple people from the class talked about the flyers they found and why they liked them. Mike showed us how to create folders and taught us what nesting is. I remember him showing how to make folders in Bootcamp but I did know what nesting was. I created my PRO folder on Google Drive since I have a Chromebook and don’t have a Windows computer with a desktop. I started my Percipio course for Monday. I wanted to give a shout out to one of my classmates for going so many days without vaping. Shout out to her.
We started the day presenting our tech articles and having some good discussions on each one of the topics that each one of us presented. Still trying to get the flow of presenting down to a science, not perfect yet am still working on how to nail the presentation part. still a little nervous when presenting my article in front of everyone. We then went onto learning and implementing the network command line tools for windows and Linux. Then put the final touches on our network building blocks project and just needed one more piece of information to complete the project. Good day to end the week on.
I came to school about 35 minutes late. I had turned in a attendance form earlier.
I presented my three flyers I found interesting. Others presented and I was impressed it was all on one document.
I completed a Percipio course on time management. I very much enjoyed the course and content with practical applications in the future.
I look around the Friday employment class curriculum. I couldn’t find the page where we answer questions. I did watch scammer job offers.

I loved today that we got to work on our stuff personal stuff and and pass assignments. Give me the opportunity to work on my interview questions and I really liked some of the answers that I’m putting a lot of work into them and they are authentic. They’ve just a lot I’m trying to prepare for the mock interviews
