Today is Friday; Devon worked with us as Carrie is not here. I found very interesting and learned a lot from today’s topic on avoiding getting scammed while job hunting. How to tell if something is suspicious, follow your intuition, and if it’s too good to be true, it is. Worked on cover letter, thanks Keyva. Finished as always, with the interview questions, the best way to answer.
June 10, 2026
i really liked hearing about the scams that are in job posts. It is also good for me to know that if I have questions, I can contact the CTP staff. It can be hard when you feel like you have to do it all yourself. We then got to work on our employment papers, whether it was a resume or our questions and answers for interviews. I like to do projects. The practice interviews were nice, and it was good to hear from the new people.
What Today Held 07.09.2026
Clocked in with Homebase, of course. I typed a bit more today and felt really good moving around the keys better than I used to. It was a pleasure to check in with Marc about my Managing Rigidity homework I had left unfinished. I struggled difficultly with the Action Plan as I do not remember what was difficult in work after loss of key points. Marc left good advise and encouragement so I submitted finished at the end of class (aka late), and still am feeling that my answers may not line up with the elements of the message. Also, going through notes today really opened my eyes to more difficulties I need to observe and create positive options for. Thus far I have really enjoyed classes with everyone. The ability to communicate is magical! Please let me know if I forgot to list anything!

TIL
Today I observed some tech article presentations, and I chose an article of my own to present next week.
I worked more on Project Inception and took some time to solve a specific problem (changing full name/display name), which was a learning experience in itself. I even learned a few elementary Linux commands!
I also learned that “pixel” is actually a contraction of “picture element.” I love technology and etymology!
What did I do today
I started the day by clocking in with Homebase. I started with the tech articles and hearing each other’s. Then we did a note-taking presentation, and it was hard to take notes because it was not my favorite thing to do when I was in school. Also, I did a note-taking quiz after that. At the end of the day, I did the “What did I do today?” post, and then I clocked out of Homebase.
What I Did Today
I wasn’t sure what was on the calendar for tomorrow, but Mark explained that our Fridays are dedicated to Job Ready Services. Sounds like another wise investment of time.
The note taking exercise took up the bulk of class time and unfortunately we didn’t get to the Google Sheets/Mail Merge with Power of Wellness. I used to perform mail merges with Microsoft Office at my old work and I wondered if the google version is relatively straightforward.
What I did today…
Typed for 15 minutes. Went over what type of learner we are. I believe I am more than one: visual, physical, and verbal. We did some note-taking, turning in the notes we took after watching a slideshow on The Discovery of the Spotted Narwhal. And a quiz. We watched a video with CTP staff doing Job Listings, for example, no college required, job listing no older than 3 months, job should be listed on ctpskillcenter.com. Thank you, Marc. You Rock!!!
What I did today, 7/9
Started the day by clocking into HomeBase. Then we met our new person in our CTT group and did our news tech articles. Then we worked on note-taking. Watched a video about note-taking. Then I did the “What I did today” post and clocked out of HomeBase for the day.
What I Did Today
Today, my main responsibilities as an administrative associate are my daily task for the day to research and post job listings onto the CTP skill center website, and my main task for the day is to research general emails and contact information for foundations from a provided list and then send email messages to the applicable foundations. I logged more general emails and site forms for provided foundations to be contacted, filtered out foundations without proper contact sites and general emails and messaged around 5 more foundations using the provided email template.
