CTP Skill Center

Practiced typing. Met with Devon for a check-in. I am doing well overall. Had Mike go over my Google Slides as it’s my elective for this month. Worked on this week’s accountability assignment, Workplace Conflict. Interesting to see I am more collaborating and less confronting. I learned what one of my hot buttons is: people who aren’t willing to compromise at all.

Today, we started with typing time. I did much better today than on any other day typing. I reached my highest score! Next, we continued on our Pro Elective that we chose to work on. I chose to work on my Accountability homework. This was a bet difficult to do because I really try to avoid any conflict and stay away from negativity. I’m too old to have arguments that are not necessary. But I did come up with one. I also worked a little bit on preparation for our MOCK Interviews tomorrow.

I did a flyer for Sunrise Express. I do need to learn how to import pictures on the web to Docs.

We had a presentation on networking, which was long. Thank goodness I took notes because it is a lot of info. But it was an eye-opener to see how computers connect. Then we had our CORE check-ins, and that was nice to actually see my progress. After that, we worked more on our inception labs, but thanks to the presentation, it made it a lot easier to follow along.

I learned how to comfortably do the basics Google Sheets.

I started the day out by clocking on Homebase, created a new ticket, then I worked on today’s project, which is creating a Windows 10 virtual machine, then I took a break, then worked on the project again, then another break, and then worked on the CompTIA A+ Core 1 Literacy Benchmark. At the end of the day, I clocked out of Homebase.

Started the day with clocked in at HomeBase. Then worked on the project inception lab. Then did a benchmark test on Percipio. Then did my “what I did today” post. Then ended the day by clocking out of HomeBase.

We reviewed this week’s assignments, as well as some e-learning options, and I began the elective project.

Today I began my third day as an administrative associate, with my main task for the day to research and post job listings and upcoming job fairs from a variety of places onto the CTP skill center website. I searched the usual job sites before posting my 3 job listings into a comprehensive summary. I additionally posted more job and career fair flyers with step-by-step information and instructions to properly register to the event with the intention to help job seekers find upcoming fairs to plan to attend.
