CTP Skill Center

What I did today was a lot of fun. We went over making a Zoom meeting. Boy were they exciting. I worked on Google Sheets when I had enough time. I even finished it. oh, and I worked on Distortive and Negative thinking.

I started on a new project on my 3rd hour. A coworker and I must see CTP’s list of tech articles used by staff and participants to see which of them allows you to read articles without a pay wall or sign up. Afterward, we must find at least 10 more tech news websites to add to the list.

Today as an administrative associate, I found 3 job listings for IT support. I continued to work on the emergency funds list. Today was still difficult to find general funds list compared to more hyper specific and compartmentalized funds. Today I started working on Rehab Center outreach emails. I was able to complete this task at a more efficient rate since I had previous experience doing this. I hope to finish the emails next week.

Today was my last day for the second round. I researched office jobs and posted them on the skillcenter. I joined a meeting and was assigned a new task, looking up technology websites and checking for paywalls. I worked on that the rest of the day, finding a few that had pop-ups.

Today I spent my first hour researching job listings. My keywords were Administrative Support focused on the Redding area. I found 6 jobs that I put on the website and my favorite had to be the House Boat Front Office. Handling all the administrative stuff that comes with people visiting Lake Shasta, renting, mooring their….seemed cool to me.

Then I moved on to my slides project – Google Sheets Introduction – where I’m pretty much finished. Jose has been out so I will get with him next week for us to review, get feedback and /or make changes. I feel good about it.

For my last hour, I started working on the Emergency Housing spreadsheet. Northern Cali has been covered, so I’m going to start adding resources in the LA and SoCal to the spreadsheet.

Typed for 15 mins, turned in my Party Celebration google sheets project, and learned how to make a zoom meeting

Today we practiced zoom invite. Knowing how to send a Zoom invite is a very valuable skill to have. Thank you Mike!

Today we continued to work on our elective for the week. I submitted my accountability assignment and company/job research elective and worked on Percipio for the rest of the class. Towards the second half of class, the instructors made each student present create a zoom meeting, which I arranged as instructed along with the rest of the class.

We started the day off with 15 min of typing practice, from there we all created zoom meeting by ourself and invited all the participants that were in the class today to join each one of the meetings we created. Sent the invites out to every body in a email and gave the link to join our own personally hosted zoom meetings. Was a fun exercise in playing around with the zoom and learning the other end of zoom’s interface and being the host for 5-10 minutes.
