Today we had employment services. We looked at job search sites and some openings on them. We worked on our job search documentation, and then we practiced interview questions.

Today I worked on my Resume. I was able to add some stuff and now I’m ready for the critique phase to make it better. I also talked about my past conflict experiences in interview practice. I feel like everything that happened today was productive.

Today I got started early in class. I tried to do what was expected of me. I log in and while waiting to be invited to the meeting. I started doing my 3 minutes of typing while waiting and realized that I was not being asked to join the meeting because I had computer issues, that still needed addressing, I logged out and logged back in and after I got into the class I was very disappointed in the issue and could not understand why this happened. So I missed the start of the class discussion. I wanted to give up but instead, I pressed on. Despite my mood and sadness, I actively participated in all class discussions. I liked the employee presentation. I worked on my job log. We worked on resumes and Interview questions and answers.

Today I learned about a few more job search sites that could help me find more positions to apply to. For the second hour of class, I worked on my professional documents and made some headway on my cover letter. In the third and final hour of class, we went over practice interview questions and received feedback on our answers to the questions.

Learned job search skills in employment services, and worked on resumes , then questions from interviewer.

I worked on my LinkedIn profile and updated some documents. I looked at job postings, and I did interview questions.

I was shown many job search engines. I improved my LinkN profile. We practiced another interview question I used to have problems with and I got better at it.

Today I started out with some job postings for the new students, and then transitioned into the ERG Outreach project. This project is really giving my skills a workout! It’s good that I’m getting this experience with networking, I just wish ERGs would make it a little easier to contact them! I guess this is also good experience with accepting frustration and just keeping at it. 🙂

Today I did some Mock interviews. I thought the process went well and I feel a little more confident than I did before. I’ve been in interviews before but it always helps to practice. the interview process is definitely an intimidating step in obtaining a job and I want to gain strong skills for this aspect. I feel like it was a productive day.
