Laney College is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to support its Enrollment Services Division. This role serves as a central resource for administrative and technical operations, including budget management, recordkeeping, student services, and staff support.
- Manage and monitor division budgets, prepare reports, and track financial activity
- Maintain complex filing systems and databases; generate reports and presentations
- Process student requests (e.g., grade changes, waivers)
- Coordinate purchasing, personnel paperwork, travel requests, and vendor relations
- Schedule meetings and serve as a primary point of contact for students, staff, and the public
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Support faculty assignments and supervise student employees as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of clerical/administrative experience, including budget tracking and reporting (NOT REQUIRED)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and general computer applications
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and serving a diverse student population
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and basic research methods
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to maintain accurate records and make sound procedural decisions
- Typing speed of at least 45 WPM
