Today, we did the introduction to employment services presentation for the beginning of the month. We worked on resumes, and I’m trying to make my experience statements more relevant to how I served the company. We did interview practice and made some real LinkedIn connections. I am happy to meet all the new students!

I participated in the employment services presentation activity during the last 10 minutes of it. Then, I continued my work with professional documents by refining my resume. Finally, I answered the questions asked during the rounds of interview practice.

Today I networked with other people and got to know them. I worked on my interview questions and participated in a mock interview.

Today I started working on my linkidin and cover letter. I did not get very far in both of them but I made some headway into them. I also did practice interview and networking. It was fun learning about the new group of people who joined.

Today I worked on job postings for the CTP program, focusing on sharing opportunities in places where our participants are most likely to be searching for employment. I concentrated on making sure the postings were relevant and helpful to connect participants to job opportunities in their local areas. I really enjoy the research process and …

Turned in my monthly email, accountability assignment, and worked on the Google Sheets exercise today. My rate of typing continues to be around 30 WPM, and after this week’s training, I’m becoming more comfortable with Sheets and Docs.

I started my day working on my typing. Later, I worked on creating a Google spreadsheet. It took time to understand how formulas work, but I finally got it.

Today, we continued working on project inception. I was assigned a new workstation and was able to install Bodhi-PC, as well as create a new user. I completed my weekly 3 hours of Skillsoft. We also did a tech article and selected one for next week’s discussion.

This week, we did the first of the month orientation and presentation. We did the meeting deadlines assignment, learning several tools to not forget deadlines. We did a Google Docs review. I typed for 15 minutes in the classroom. We started our week with an introduction to Core Training, and everybody got oriented to the main goal of the CTP skill program.
