What I Did Today

Today I found 3 emails for IT support job seekers. I found contact information for rehab centers so that Carrie can email them. I set up my voicemail on MicroSIP to help the core program with there phone training.

What I Did Today

First, we had introductions and had two students from Month 3 of CTT introduce us to how the weekly tech article assignments are supposed to go. Afterwards, we continued work on our Project Inception assignment. I booted up a virtual image of a Bodhi Linux computer, but I mistakenly thought something went wrong and followed instruction to create a second one. The install went smoothly and all settings were working correctly. I then created a clone of that same Bodhi Linux PC before checking in with the instructor all while keeping my Ticket updated. Finally, I set up a Debian install before time ran out for the day. Virtualization is certainly fascinating and I feel like this experience in itself is quite valuable to me.

What I Did Today

Today I started it off with a couple people sharing their technology news articles in Slack. I then went onto the Remote Desktop Connection and worked with installing Bodi and Debian as virtual machines. It worked out much smother than yesterday and I was successful at both. Overall it was enjoyable, and great learning experience.

What I Did Today

Today I researched administrative assistant roles and posted the links on the skillcenter. I attended my first associate meeting since coming back from break. I mostly listened to the details of the new project we will be practicing with voicemails and customer service.

What I Did Today

Today we continued the BerkMart Conference Slideshow project, which requires us to create a google slideshow presentation for the fictional BerkMart for their fictional conference. I have finished fine tuning my slideshow presentation, submitting it for review. I am personally proud of a small addition to the presentation, where I implemented a QR code within my presentation which leads to the BerkMart demo site link provided by the assignment.

What I did today

Today we started with our typing practice for 15 minutes. Then I Started working on my Slides project for Berk Mart and I didn’t get too far. First two slides rough. But I’m still tossing around ideas.

What I Did Today

For my first hour I search job listings and posted 5 job listings to the website. My focus was on Office Assistant in the North Bay.

I then moved on to my slide project – Google Sheets Introduction – and worked on putting together the boards that describe Formatting. I’m importing screenshots of a blank sheet and examples of different types of formatting and I’m trying to make it as aesthetically pleasing as I can, but it’s taking me time.

We had a check-in with Carrie to go over a assignment that we’ll be helping with in the near future where the CORE students call us in a customer service assignment. We don’t know the exact date yet.
