I worked on the VirtualBox. i also used Remote Desktop Connection.

We started the day with a exciting new project which was mail merging project. Took a data set with 491 tables and it modified the letters to include making the letter heads and address change from letter to letter through the mail merge extension add on. Which i never heard of this concept before this project. It was very interesting and learned a lot as a result of working on it. Could see how it was transferrable into a office admin position or something along those lines.

Today, we worked on the mail merge project, which proved to be a powerful and useful tool. In the final hour, we spent time taking targeted email courses that were recommended based on my benchmark scores.

I continue to work on my Google slides portfolio. I made progress on my project.

At the end of class we spent time on our weekly tech articles.

Today I worked more on my Core Training Portfolio slides and was able to touch it up some more. Then I presented my article for the week, and it went well. Nothing of note was a challenge except figuring out five skills I practiced. I look forward to next week when we can go back into doing tech related labs and projects.

I was given a slightly different task for my 3rd hour today. I am to enter emails for many entries of our DEI list that lack any. I was suggested to use ChatGPT, as it would find leads for potential emails fast. In one case, the emails I saw were fake, so I didn’t enter them.

We worked on the Donor Letter Project as a group and Marc showed us what to do. He taught us how to mail merge which was not as hard as I thought it would. I also learned about to split text into columns, inserting a row and the Proper formula in Google Sheets. I took a skill benchmark test on email productivity. I did okay. I started one of the recommended courses and can finish it on Monday. My typing score was low today and I will try to improve it next week.
