Today I started out with some job postings for the students. Getting harder to spot scams these days, I had one all written up before I googled the company and found out they don’t actually exist! After that, I familiarized myself with the Second Chance project and did some preliminary research on food resources in my area. I also briefly helped Carrie when another intern was having audio issues. A productive day!

What I Did Today
Today I got see the returning students’ tech article presentations and talk about them in a group discussion. The experience was very helpful in keeping up with news in the tech industry I might not have known, and new tools that may have become available including new features in Microsoft Copilot. Then we continued the orientation items we still needed to catch up on as new students, primarily logging into a remote VM host on a WireGuard network. This helped me understand how these network systems communicate and I’m always interested to learn more.
