What I Did Today

Today I went through my resume and interview questions with the class. It was nice having the time to improve upon it with someone to check it so I was able to make full use of the support and help I needed. I kept occasionally getting lost in thought today so I hope that next time I can keep my focus and attention all together better.

What I Did Today

Todays lab was on building a Two PC’s for a purpose and budget. One was an Inexpensive basic business PC and the other was for a Virtualization Lab Computer. Each one had different specs and budgets. We research the bulid using PC Part Picker. I got as far as putting toghter a office PC vs a highly ranked computer your can buy for example at Best Buy.

We had show n Tell with tech articles, which were very interesting

Looking forwardto next weeks Labs.

What I Did Today

Today I used PC Part Picker to build a computer with a budget. I was already familiar with the site and using it was pretty fun as I enjoy looking at builds and computers, comparing their specs with each other. I struggled presenting my article well and I think it’s because of the lack of material in my article that would have made it easier for me to present it well, so next time I will find a better article with more detailed information.

What I Did Today

I spent my first hour of my day looking for job listings and posting them to CTP website (WordPress).

The rest of the day, I spent working on the Emergency Housing project. I found a lot for Alameda County (Berkeley / Oakland / Emeryville). Then I started researching Yolo County (Sacramento / Davis / Woodland / Knights Landing).

I’m finding a lot of links that encompass all areas of services and those they serve. They are kind of a one-stop-shop where people can go and branch out from there. (i.e. local housing authorities).

I researched government websites like Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and from there I linked information specifically for California. People can search by city or zip code.

A lot of these organizations help with housing as well as domestic violence, homelessness, mental / physical disabilities, counseling services, etc.

What I did Today?

Today I practiced typing and did more of my elective project topic on Celsius energy drinks. While doing the elective topic, I got a bit of help from one of the instructors on how to add animation to each of the slides by using the textbox feature. I felt like this was one of the things I learned today while adding animation to the Google Slides.

What I Did Today

I researched and posted some administrative roles to the jobs section on the CTP site. I worked on the emergency groceries list, I don’t know how much more I can add to it, so I think I will ask if I can just do the housing list for two hours instead. Finishing my day, I researched emergency shelters to post on the spreadsheet.
