Lab for Coding & Web Server. Continued with “Try Slack”. Made a video of a fox approaching a snake. Fox says, “hello”. The snake says, “Leave me alone” and will coil up and hiss. Fox goes to snake at the end of his loop. If you click the snake he will hiss. This was fun, but I wouldn’t post it. I need to figure out how to keep them in the background. It will just take more tweaks.
Today’s lab was getting to know about the scratch web site. I tried d to create a short. using the coding blocks. I did create one but was unable to make the sprite work seamlessly. With practice and more tutorial videos i am sure i could make a short film.
Today I practiced typing, logged into the Berkmart website, wrote a short biography in third person, and uploaded my photo and published it. Then I did a screenshot of the due date of the accountability project. Lastly, I took my own time starting on the accountability homework and Percipio. The Percipio I did last week was on time management. I enjoyed watching the videos on this topic because I was able to understand how to organize my time and goals.
Today I researched companies and posted some jobs on the CTP site. I checked the businesses that had info on Indeed, and I found that some were shady and one fake company. It’s really messed up, scams are everywhere. For the rest of the day I worked on the Emergency Housing list, looking in Solano County and added some resources to it.
My first hour I researched job postings and put them on the CTP website. My focus was on Administrative Assistants and today I was on Indeed exclusively.
I spent the rest of my afternoon working on the Emergency Shelter Project. This is a very rewarding project for me because I have some experiences in the past where I needed to seek a women’s shelter when I was living in Portland. It can be a very tangled web for people in crisis and this database will be a place where people can start to rebuild their lives. Very humbling.
Made a WordPress Bio and emailed the Google calendar reminder for the Accountability Assignment. I also came up with a few items for the assignment.
