CTP Skill Center

Today we went over some things in class that we needed to improve on. One of them was the table of contents. Then we all went over more of the Micro Sip by calling some of our classmates or instructors. Lastly, we did the challenge to see how much we have improved this month.

Was in class with Marc and Mike. We tested our MicroSip extensions. Made a call to most of my classmates, besides the one that doesn’t have his setup yet. Did my first Independent Challenge using Sheets. Was challenging but got through it. Hope that I didn’t goof more than the one I know I did.

I’m still having a harder time with the DEI list. It’s difficult to find a company with DEI efforts that isn’t already listed. My only plan is to think outside the box, and look for companies that I am familiar with, like Nintendo, who creates video games.

Today we worked on phones and independent challenges.

Started off class with typing tests. We then each individually took a test for the remainder of class.

For the first hour I added job listings to the CTP website, focusing on the San Jose area. In the second hour I worked on the emergency food list, adding listings for Orange County. In the last hour I searched for companies for the DEI list.

I practiced my typing and it was terrible because it’s Monday and I haven’t been typing for 3 days, so I was a little rusty.

I practiced using the new phone system (MicroSIP) by calling other classmates to make sure the extension were correct.

I did my last CTP Independent Challenge and I think I did well. The only problem was my “share” to the “staff” did not go through, saying it was an error with my Google security/credentials. This started happening last week but we don’t know why exactly, or how to fix it for the future. Marc had to check my work on each part of the Challenge manually.

Today we practiced typing. We tested our MicroSIP phone app. We worked on our independent challenge. We worked on our individual Skillfsoft assignments.
