CTP Skill Center

Today was my first day of employment services and we worked with Carrie in pre-designated blocks of time on each agenda item. The first item was an orientation and it set me up well to understand what the class was about. After that we did interview question practice and I really enjoyed being able to practice and articulate my responses because it’s something that I used to struggle with a lot. It was also nice hearing a bit from other students in the class and their passions and career goals during the practice.

Worked on my Linkin account, uploaded a picture. Answered questions with EMP class.

I posted some great job opportunities for CTP job seekers. I found an organization in San Francisco that works with people with and without disabilities to find employment. They have listings for jobs that are available in the Bay Area.

Today i worked on my resume . And looked at jobs where u can volenteer which i found one.and we worked on interview questions,

This week, we introduced some new people to the program, and largely worked on Google Sheets for a project about a BerkMart Investors Conference. I think I did pretty well.

As for employment services, we did our usual fare: watching a presentation about volunteer work, working on our documents, and then answering some practice employer questions.

Overall, not a bad week.

Today I worked on my linkedin profile and practiced interview questions. My social skills aren’t great at the moment, and my interview answers wouldn’t pass in a real interview.
