Today I was conflicted about being in class all day, because I have fancy tickets tonight to the Giants and Angels I won for free. I planned this event for a long time because it was my birthday on Tuesday. Nevertheless, today was Employment Services day with Carrie, and essentially we just worked on our mock interview Q&A all day. There was a portion of class where we went into a breakout room and did a video recording over zoom.
I’m still working on my structured responses to the questions on the Q&A document, but I feel more comfortable talking about my past work experience. I just wish with more practice I can remember the script by heart. Doing the practice this way definitely avoids discouragement over not having fully fleshed out talking points or maybe not having a perfect work history.
It’s interesting how 3 hours spent in CTP every day gives me the time and organization to work on Job Readiness and other parts of my life that need work at 43 years old or young.
