In Employment Services, Carrie first went over our video recorded interview practice portions from last week. She posted the link to YouTube so we could watch ourselves a) look like complete fools who were b) more ready to answer the interview questions needed to go do this job.
Since mock interviews were on Wednesday, I was sort of well-rehearsed in the interview Q&A bank. However, I had complaints about my performance on Wednesday and I decided the best way forward would be to look at an actual job opening and practice tailoring my responses as I would in an actual application. I found a job at the Berkeley Food Network that I will definitely apply for in the future, and I’ve been thinking about what else I could do to make sure when I apply that I get the interview.
For the rest of class today we had a lab hour to work on my work related documents, which now include a Follow-up template document. Then we answered a couple questions for interview practice before the end of class.
