What I did today

Today was the first employment services of the new month. Which was weird because now its just three of us because half moved onto SJS last month. But it was still enjoyable and a safe space to mess up and learn.

First we watched a video on Linkedin profiles (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qG4NF-2tt4c and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRcbm1xCX7g). It was very helpful because my Linkedin needs a lot of work as its been neglected for years. Then we moved onto documents lab where at first I worked on Linkedin. But then Carrie went over our resumes and I realized that my two column layout looked good but was inflexible to modification (which is kind of important for a resume). So I made a new one that is less complex. Also Carrie told me that it didn’t have to be one page which allowed me to make things bigger (for example normal text was set to 9 size) and I can put in more info. Like my jobs as self employed Computer User Support Specialist and Instruction Designer. Instead of just having my librarian internship and time at Disneyland.

Lastly we went through interview qustions. I still need work but I have some ideas for next time I’m asked the same questions.
