Today we worked on phones and independent challenges.

Started off class with typing tests. We then each individually took a test for the remainder of class.

For the first hour I added job listings to the CTP website, focusing on the San Jose area. In the second hour I worked on the emergency food list, adding listings for Orange County. In the last hour I searched for companies for the DEI list.

I practiced my typing and it was terrible because it’s Monday and I haven’t been typing for 3 days, so I was a little rusty. Today we practiced typing. We tested our MicroSIP phone app. We worked on our independent challenge. We worked on our individual Skillfsoft assignments.

I had a good day today, finding and sharing many job listings. Then I moved on to working on the emergency food bank list. I added 7 locations to the list. I also added 7 rehab center locations.

The employment services class went over how our mock interviews went on Thursday. We then watched a video on creating a LinkedIn profile and how it should be presented so that it could make a better impression on the employers. We went over mock interviews from yesterday. We tried to log into LinkedIn after watching a video on it. I have an account but had difficulty logging in, as it was forcing me in a circle between verification and “Persona”. I will try again in the beginning of next week. In the first hour I added job listings to the CTP website, focusing on the Redding area. In the second hour I worked on the emergency food list, adding some entries for Orange County. In the last hour I continued the hunt for companies to add to the DEI list.

We were reviewed for the mock interview from yesterday. Linkden was introduced. We watched the video for the basics, and I tried to make changes to my Lindken profile. I went over the interview questions and answers practice with Carrie.
