Today I got to work on my Interview Questions and Answers. I still need to work on using less-self critical language and be better at framing things in ways that don’t possibly raise red flags (as Alex helpfully pointed out saying I do “Root Cause Analysis” is better than “going down rabbit holes.”)
We also did some mock interview questions (on top of what we did yesterday) and while I struggled with some I think it helped me figure out some avenues that I didn’t think of before. They still need refinement, but they could sparkle. Maybe.
This week was my first non-orientation week. I felt like it went well and I’m really enjoying the class and my fellow students. Mock Interviews were the Big Bad for me going into them but I found them to be a lot more enjoyable and easier than I originally thought. And this is only the first time. Even though I’m still not a big fan of this kind of stuff, it’s great to grow and find out that I’m not going to “crash and burn” as my darker thoughts tried to tell me.
