In this role, you will provide walk-up and desk-side support for common IT issues, assist users with basic questions and requests. You will also support new hire and intern onboarding activities. You will assist with the setup and basic troubleshooting of laptops, monitors, keyboards, mice, and peripherals, mobile phones, and tablets. Benefits are not listed.
Today, I started working on a new lab, Computer Hardware. I created a new ticket and added the definition for some terms, including their research link. We did some skill benchmarking in class, CompTIA A+, and Emotional Intelligence. We ended the session by doing our what I did post.
Typing practice. I spent the day working on electives. I finally settled on the Art Google Sheets Project.
In the first hour I did my usual 15 minutes of typing practice, hitting my goal of 60wpm on both 5 minute tests. I added some CS jobs for the San Jose area, and one IT job in the Rohnert Park area. In hours two and three I worked on the workstation project.
This is electives week, so I started my month 3 portfolio slideshow. I also spent some time on my resume and searching Idealist for possible volunteer opportunities. I finished the first draft of my resume, and now I need to put volunteer experience in there. I then started working on my portfolio.
Today I started to work on the Computer Hardware project. I completed the pre lab and will continue the lab tomorrow. Finally, I completed a Percipio benchmark and got a good score.
We started the Computer Hardware project on a new ticket. We started with the pre-lab which included some questions and terms to learn. Then we continued with a benchmark test in Percipio and I got 8 incorrect out of 28 but a couple of the questions were tricky.
