What I Did Today

Today I had my monthly check-in meeting with Carrie, and it went well. I’m on track. We spent the rest of the time on our electives, mine being the portfolio project. I finished the first draft of the text, and now I’m making the slideshow more interesting.

What I Did Today

Today in CTT, I completed my disk partitioning project by successfully setting up a dual-boot environment with Windows and Debian inside one VM. I manually shrank the Windows partition, created a new ext4 root partition for Debian, and worked through partition table limitations (MBR and primary partition limits). This project strengthened my understanding of how operating systems share disk space and how boot structures work.

I also had a check-in meeting with CTP staff where we discussed aligning my learning toward SQL, Linux, and infrastructure-focused roles.

Today felt like meaningful progress both technically and professionally.

What I Did Today

Today I continued my efforts to find strong job listings, and I came across several promising opportunities. I hope these listings will be helpful for participants who are currently seeking employment.

I also continued working on my DEI project and was able to send out a substantial number of emails to companies regarding volunteer opportunities with CTP. I plan to continue this work on Friday as I reach out to additional organizations. Another productive day at work!

What I did Today

Today was a much day than Monday. I was able to find three IT support jobs near the Bay Area to help out that participant who lives near Rohnert Park. I had to goggle a few emails but not as bad as the other day. I was able to get more emails sent out and get more done today. I have my checkin with Carrie tomorrow and she will be giving me a new project to start working on. I am looking forward to working on something new. I am glad today went better and I hopeful that I will do good job at whatever Carrie assigns to me next. Much less stressful than Monday. Monday was definitely a learning experience but I am happy today was more productive. I fixed my mistake so now things are going a lot smoother for sending emails.
