What I Did Today

Today, I worked more on the Disk Imaging lab from a couple of weeks back. This time, I did the full disk image recovery using an image that had the sysprep.exe command run on it. I did this for the first and most of the second hour.

For the remainder of the second hour and the final part of class, I did Part 3, the backup part of the lab that was about capturing a backup image of the sysprepped disk image after having configured the VM for it in Part 2.

Today we had our two mock interviews. I felt more confident in both of these interviews because I had a peer with me the ladies interview both Babette and I in the first one and Nicole and I in the second one. It was a pleasure to know the interviewer as well as Babette and Nicole on how they would answer their questions. I know it is not guaranteed but, I hope we can do interviews like this more often.

What Did I Do Today

Today I did are 15 minute typing practice. We worked on finishing the customer service role play. We went over the challenge assignment. I also finished my intake meeting with Carrie. I also wrote out an end of the month reflection and emailed it to Pro.

What I Did Today

Today, we started with typing practice. I got one of my best scores in terms of having both high wpm along with near-perfect accuracy at 91wpm at 99% accuracy. For the rest of the first hour, we filled time with practicing more customer service scenarios.

For the second hour, we did some more of that, but the highlight was in a video we watched about someone new for a front desk job who was learning to take over for someone leaving that same role. I liked it since it showed the new person making a mistake and then showed her doing the correct thing. A good demonstration of phone customer service.

For the final hour, I spent most of it preparing my professional portfolio, including the audio recording for the final presentation. Then I finished the day with my Rose, Bud, Thorn end-of-month email.

Today I clocked in with Homebase. I typed with the program Monkeytype. I did a bad employee and a good employee. That was easy. I listened to the class talk about yesterdays Independent Challenge. Then I worked on my google slides with Marc.

Today, I listened to the remaining people do their customer service exercise portraying as being a bad or good employee in certain situations. I also watched a video with the class on YouTube about a customer representative making a mistake and learning from it while on her first day on the job. Lastly, I worked on writing an email that explained a positive highlight that I had during this month’s training.

Today we continued with our activities for the week, reviewing the accountability assignment and the lingering questions of the independent challenge that was giving other participants trouble. We continued our practice exercises from yesterday, going over the participants that weren’t chosen or were unable to finish their turns yesterday. We then watched a video about proper calling etiquette and worked on the end of the month rose responses until class ended.
