I finished my portfolio today, and I recorded it.

Today we had our mock interviews. I was in a breakout room having the mock interview. Things were going fine when my computer glitched for some reason. I thought maybe the battery. I plugged in, and then a few seconds later, it went black. Called to find out if there was a problem in my area, and there was. She let me know it should be back on around 6 pm. WHAT A DAY!

Today in class, we did mock interviews.

Today I practiced typing using a regular keyboard instead of my laptop keyboard. It felt a little different, so I know I’ll need to spend some extra time practicing to get my speed back to where it usually is. In class, we continued working on our Portfolios, and both Mike and Marc spent time helping us understand what to include and how to improve our work. Overall, it was a productive day, and I made good progress.

I worked on my typing for the first part of class. Then I worked on my portfolio with refinement and colors. I also worked on my LinkedIn and looked at jobs for my portfolio.

Jose delivered an Introduction to Networking presentation.

I took a ton of notes. I still have a ton of questions about subnetting after having watching the Skillsoft module on the topic but hopefully things will start to make more sense as I get more hands-on experience with project work.

Great day overall.

Today I learned some fundamentals of networking, such as IP addresses, Subnets, and gateways. I feel like I truly learned something, although my brain is truly overwhelmed with the volume of information. I am enjoying the challenge that this class has brought to me.

I learned about “why learning networking,” the basic concepts of Basic Network Device Configurations, Internet Protocols, Types of networks, Private and Public IP addresses, and subnets. I also continued with the installation of Windows 10 Pro using VirtualBox and the Virtual Machine Manager. Lastly, I learned about what a public and private IP address is and how the addresses are used.

We did our typing, and we also worked on our elective.

Today in class, we had more time to work on our electives. I also worked a little bit on my percipio and a little bit on my accountability assignment. Once I was done working on those things, I worked on my “What I did today.”
