2/27/25

Today was weird. I was watching a LinkedIn video and I had a breakdown. I miss my nursing license and I feel ashamed that I have to look for an entry-level position with no skills. I’m too old to start over trying to get the skills for a job that I don’t even want.

we went over some interview questions.

does anybody actually read these?

What I did Today?

There was a discussion on how do a follow up on a job application over the phone or by emailing the person. Then we did a project on pretending to be the applicant emailing or phoning in on Carrie as she is the person from the company. Then we did our document lab time in doing resumes, cover letters, Linked-In profile, etc. Near the end, we did an icebreaker question and practiced some interview questions.

What I Did Today

– Practiced typing to increase productivity.

– Found and posted job listings relevant to program participants’ skills and jobseeking goals.

– Contacted companies for business outreach to seek volunteering partnerships.

– Worked independently.
