I opened my Pro day by typing for 15 minutes. We also practiced the five scenarios for during the basic phone skills exercises. I also recorded my professional voicemail on the Micro SIP application.

Today, I completed the Power of Wellness voicemail and learned how to use the VOIP.ms softphone on Zoom. Lastly, I did Power of Wellness scripts, which were hard and confusing; however, I got through another day!

Today I practiced typing, really trying to keep my fingers placement on the home row, which is hard for me and has brought down my WPM drastically. We continued the day by ensuring phones are setup then proceeded to act out some scenarios with the phones, practicing transfers, and we also set up unavailable voicemails …

In the first hour, I started with 15 minutes of typing, and then added some CS jobs to the CTP website. In the second hour, I worked on the slides project. In the third hour, I met with Jose to go over the slides project and worked on some of the improvements he suggested.

Today in class, we worked on our phone call skills, and I recorded my final presentation.

Today I learned how to do customer service calls. I also learned how to save contacts to the sip phone. I also learned how to record a voicemail professionally.

I started my day by sharing 3 upcoming job fairs and 14 job listings. I then switched to DSPS research. I reached out to all colleges on the list by phone and follow-up email, completing outreach for about 20 counties.

I learned that I have a long way to go when it comes to typing practice, but practice makes perfect. The class made sure that everyone had a working phone connection for the exercises later this week, and we spent the second half of class working on the Independent Challenge.

Today I did a 15-minute typing test, and I watched a video on Customer service skills, and then I took an independent challenge. I also worked on my side project while I had free time in class.
