Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to support our fast-paced, high-volume practice. This role requires strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with physicians, patients, and staff. Travel between locations may be required.

  • Greet patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answer phones and manage messages promptly and courteously
  • Schedule new and existing patients according to guidelines
  • Process referrals, faxes, and patient communications within 24 hours
  • Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Support patient check-in/check-out and address financial responsibilities
  • Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards
  • Assist with basic clinical tasks (e.g., vision checks, documentation)

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of insurance types (HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medi-Cal)
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment and computer systems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Empathy and patience, especially when working with elderly patients
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged sitting, standing, and computer use
