I missed the opening typing exercise because I arrived 15 minutes late; I provided advanced notice on an attendance form. I spent the rest of the day working with my peers on the BerkMart phone scripts. I clearly need more practice on this type of training.
I practiced typing for around 15 minutes on Monkey Type and took a screenshot. I share it on my ZoomChat.
Working with Microsip was a new subject.
We made groups of two and three and practiced.
Today we practiced answering calls, placing calls on hold, and transferring phone calls in a professional setting. Additionally, I practiced touch typing
I started with 15 minutes of typing practice, and then added job listings to the CTP website for the rest of the first hour. In hours two and three I searched for externships for CTT graduates.
Today we worked on basic phone skills and practiced calls with eachother. I did very well on scenarios 1-3, but I totally messed up 4 and 5. It was good learning experience because I learned to keep both phone windows open, not just one.
Today, I completed touch typing tests and took the Independent Challenge, scoring a 19 — my highest score yet! I also achieved my fastest typing speed of 60 words per minute. Overall, today has been an amazing day! :))
Today I did the practice calls. It was a lot of fun reading from the script and helping out. I’m glad there was some practice.
Today in class we practiced typing and did some phone systems exercises. We also discussed our performance on the individual assessment from yesterday. Pretty quiet day overall.
This position requires fluency in Spanish and English.

The Customer Service Specialist provides outstanding customer support by assisting wholesale and retail customers in person and over the phone, identifying their needs, and recommending appropriate products and services. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships while ensuring accurate sales transactions and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include processing orders, maintaining work order records, pulling and preparing products, tinting and mixing items to customer specifications, and supporting inventory control through stocking, displays, and organization of assigned areas. The position also involves assisting with deliveries, loading and unloading trucks, maintaining store equipment, and contributing to sales growth by staying knowledgeable about products and suggesting opportunities to improve overall sales performance.
Listed pay is $20 an hour.
