Started the day by clocking in with Homebase. Then I watched a video about how to job search using Indeed and different websites. We went over a random person’s resume and saw what the mistake was. Also, I worked on my resume. We had an icebreaker before we started the practice interview questions, then I went into a breakout room and practiced one-on-one interview questions. Today was a fun and easy day.

Today we had more practice with mock interviews and group questions to answer. The mock interview I had with Alex was informative and gave me a better idea of how to star method. Also, this week I was able to complete 3 hours of outside study time. We also worked on one lab in class in the CTT class on how to build an HTML website and a bit of coding.

Today I explored SimplyHired and Dice, did some resumé tune-up, and some interview practice as well. I got some good feedback in interview practice that I can use going forward.

Today we did resume and interview questions with each other. The resume workshop was good I will defiently add more to my resume. The interview was awesome it was good to ask questions and to talk to my classmates on this as well.

August 21, 2026: Today, I learned some more about what to include in a resume, and what not to include. I also practiced some interviewing skills and questions with the class.

August 17-21, 2026: This week, I did some work on a lab project, worked on Percipio, did a couple of mock interviews, and practiced some more interview questions.

August 20, 2026: Today, I went through two mock interviews. The first round I was a little hesitant like last week, but I feel like I did much better the second round. I still have to expand a bit on my responses.

Today I presented my article about Commodore, which was fun. José showed us some strange old code they used for the AmigaOS. For the remainder of the day, I worked on my HTML project. I got my Debian VM up and running, and I ran some preliminary configuration tests.

Class feels better and better as I feel improvement in my actions and restabilizing my time and values. I felt really successful this week in my accountability project and Percipio. Percipio was on time, but accountability was actually completed early and was not procrastinated. I also was intimidated about the cash refunding area. Math, especially the change counting, has been on the list of childhood traumas I’ve needed to face for a while. These games vividly remind me of at home learning as a child that became negative HOWEVER these games have me feeling much more encouraged and learning than punishment for “failure.” Wonderful week and support from the whole team! Started the day by clocking in with Homebase. I presented my article, which is about the Mountain View-based startup named Matic Robot Vacuum. I got to hear other people’s articles. Then I continued working on the coding and web servers. This time, I added images to my customized HTML page. Today was a fun day. Now I am doing my “What did I do today” post, and then I clock out of Homebase.

Today was the much-anticipated day before Mock Interviews. I am planning on having a rough day tomorrow, so I spent some time practicing with my Q&A the last couple days. I will probably try to do my best without having unrealistic expectations. It’s only a practice interview after all.

In class today, we went through a slides presentation on Google search modifiers, such as “Exact Phrase”, Exclusion (-), and other specific ways to narrow a google search. Using asterisk, on the other hand, opens up more search results because the asterisk stands for a Wildcard term that can be anything if you fill in the blank.

We also went through the accountability assignment that was originally due tomorrow. Given that we won’t have time to go over the emails we sent to instructors tomorrow, we quickly presented our ideas for the BerkMart Store New Items today. Mine was a 1TB Flash Drive, which is difficult to imagine we are already at a place with technology where we could use Terabytes for flash memory.

Other small projects we did this week include the About Me section on the BerkMart WordPress. And, during my extra free time, I practiced with Cash Out and Money Master. It’s more challenging and fun to use foreign currencies, such as Australia, Canada, UK, India, South Africa, etc.

I’m looking forward to showing up tomorrow and doing my best.
