What I Did Today

Today we took the Pro 3-minute typing test for the end of the month, then overviewed our performance for the independent challenge. A few participants had trouble with the formulas for part 3, specifically the formulas for rounding up numbers to the first digit, which was understandable since we haven’t covered the needed formula in class yet. For the rest of class time, we worked on some phone exercises involving dealing with frustrated customers.

What I Did Today

Today started off with the CTT group sharing our tech articles. It was a good discussion about AI and how it affects daily life. After this we did some practice discussing the evaluation assignment. To wrap the day up we practiced some upset customer scenarios, which was a great deal of fun.

Our day began with a 3-minute typing test. I spoke with Marc again about not receiving a Grain email for class notes; we still haven’t been able to resolve the issue. Marc walked us through the correct way to complete the Independent challenge. I turned in my Accountability assignment.

Today we started off class with a three-minute typing test. we reviewed the independent challenge as a class. We did customer service Role Play upset customer scenarios. Mike, Nicole, Lucy, Nick, Joe and Cody played customer and employee roles. We did a good job.

In-person: Test Center Administrator (Union City, CA)

You will oversee exams, setting workstations and providing context for clarity. You will also offer support to individuals with special requirements. There are no experience requirements, but familiarity with Microsoft Office, and experience in similar jobs, which can include customer service. The pay is $21.42 an hour, part-time.

What I did today

I shared 11 job posts in my first hour. Mostly remote part time ones. I transferred 6 places to the food bank website and added 5 new locations. Finally, I added 3 new resources to the emergency financial resources list.
