What I Did Today

Today I researched jobs to post on CTP, I’ve noticed the pay for some roles has gone up and I hardly see under 17$ an hour anymore. Maybe businesses are starting to realize what a living wage looks like in California. I continued to work on the slides presentation for the rest of the day.

What I Did Today

Started the day off practicing typing.

Marc and Mike shows us how to edit on Google Docs. The purpose of today’s labs was on Proofreading and editing a document.

I was able to set up a Google DOC with Table of Content , Titles , subtitles, Different size section headers and page numbers

Practices make closer to perfect.

What I did today

I worked on the Google Formatting Project and fixed the document on editing and proof reading. Listened to the lesson on Google Docs. I learned how to insert a table of contents. I also learned how to insert page numbers and a section break. I never knew if you hold the control key you can highlight different things at the same time. I am still confused about what to make a header.

Tuesday June 3

day 2 man, much much much smoother for me. I put the homebase and this blog webpages bookmarked in my bookmarks folder for this class. I Finished my assignment for thursday the accountability. I will focus on percipio and actually puting a couple resume’s and cover letters in apply for a couple jobs from now till next percipio due, Whatever, whatever. I will set goals when I think about what to do. I sound so wishy washy, nobody reads these anyways so blah blah blah. I did Apply for job already Monday with my resume, cover letter and references all 3 pages formatted and color coated and matching text and all looked super great.

What I Did Today

Today we just went through Google Doc tools and features. It was good review for what some of us already knew to practice it, but overall today wasn’t particularly fun or interesting as it’s just a recap of what I already know. I hope for the next week to come so we can go back to doing CTT stuff since those were most interesting to me than working with Google docs.

What I Did Today

– Typing speed has been varying wildly and I think I should stop putting energy into emotionally tracking how I’m doing at it.
– Job Listings were harder to find today? Simplyhired is surprisingly rife though.
– Spreadsheet task doing corporate outreach is incredibly fun puzzle hunting. AND I found one of the companies on the list’s foundations page that cites career readiness as a cause they specifically care about. I hope it’s fruitful. I like tasks where I get to hunt things down and call people.
