Delta Dental’s delivery manager in tech, Sujatha Sridhar, after our mock interview, offered very positive feedback and echoed Carrie’s advice for me to lead with nonprofit experience then prior work experience in my resume. She thought my strengths in leadership and ability to form, develop and foster relationships was very valuable to Delta Dental’s networking group and to its communications team. She recommended relating the work I’ve done to the open position and quantifying contributions I’ve made, i.e. I built a network of… teams, community contacts, executives, and programs I’ve led in health care and when managing communications for Wells Fargo generated revenues of $X. I really appreciated her engaged interviewing style and commitment to CTP’s mock interview program.

Today was mock interview day, and I am happy to say I finally had an interviewer who works in IT. I would say the interview went well, and we got along well. Her feedback was really good as well. She gave me a few pointers to work on. I asked if I could connect with her on LinkedIn, and she said yes, so I’ll be doing that.

Today was mock interviews day with Delta Dental. I interviewed with Bindu and she was lovely. Great interviewer and mentioned for me to keep learning everything I can from CTP as I have strong customer service skills and must have strong computer skills to be a lobby ambassador aka receptionist with Delta Dental. Will do!

We did a flyer project and set up our VOIP.ms accounts.

Today, we created a Pro CTP Class Flyer Assignment. At first, I didn’t understand the instructions very well. I was a little confused about what to do, but I got the hang of it. Next, we were all able to get out of our online phone system (voice-over-internet phone line), thanks to Jose. He has very good instructing skills. I was just taught that you can call anyone for free. That is awesome! Last, we post blogs. I can’t wait to use this online phone system next week.

Practiced typing. Most of the time, we worked on a CTP Pro Customer Service and Administrative flyer. I am not done with mine. For the last hour, we set up MicroSip with Jose and his people. Overall, a good day.

Started the day by clocking into HomeBase. Then we each shared and talked about each other’s Tech articles. Then we got back to doing our labs. Then we set up what I guess you would call a phone on your computer to use for next week. Then did a little more work on our labs before doing the “What I did today” post. then clocked out of HomeBase for the day.

Today, my main responsibilities as an administrative associate are my daily task for the day to research and post job listings onto the CTP skill center website, and my main task is to research affordable housing for potential CTP graduates and note down worthwhile locations in the provided tracking log. Spent the majority of time searching for applicable listings, adding 6 locations into the housing tracking log, all of which were disability accessible and affordable under the budget.

I started the day by clocking in with Homebase. Then I continued working on the Networking project, which is the Network Building Block Diagram, where I had to find the CTP Router’s WAN IP and LAN IP. Then I took a break. After the break, I continued working on the project. Then I took another break. After the second break, I set up a Work Phone using MicroSip. Then I did the “What did I do today” post. At the end of the day, I clocked out of Homebase.
