– All about BIOS
— This is a lot of what I do in volunteering so I feel really good about it. I’m glad I got to do it on physical machines a bunch because trying to get VM software to cooperate is more of a pain but I’m not demoralized.
– Talked with Jose about coworking moving forward now that Nathan’s internship is done. Did no skillsoft today.

I noticed that the DEI list looked completely full, and it caught me off guard. It looked like I would need to search up companies and add them. I used a Reddit post as a starting point, and I was able to find companies that still had DEI pages.

Today I went over Salesforce CRM, went over Elective project, watched videos on Salesforce, and went over Percipio.

Remembered to clock in to HOMEBASE.

Did What I Did for Today and Clock Out of HOMEBASE.

Today I practiced typing and worked on my dream job research project.

today we are doing a new project called computer hardware lab. we went over the instructions of what we need to do. I completed the pre-lab and now i’m ready to do the main lab.

During the first hour I added job listings to the CTP website, centered around the Sacramento area. In the second hour I worked on the emergency food list, adding entries for San Bernardino and Kern County. In the last hour I searched for DEI companies not yet on the list, finding 2.

I was able to work on the Elective which was Virtual Management.

I already use color codes however, the article helped me to see how I can use more for the same thing but different categories.

My typing was good today 50.

Today we started the Computer Hardware lab. We investigated different start-up options for two virtual machines in different virtual machine managers and our own home system. We learned the difference between BIOS and UEFI. We learned what happened when your computer starts up and how it goes from POST to BIOS to operating system boot. We learned the basic Windows operating system boot process.

I practiced typing and got my highest wpm to day – 66! That made me happy.

I started working on my portfolio project and will be working on it for the next week. I’m excited about it.
