A few of the things I did included work on my resume, researching volunteer opportunities on the Idealist website, and participating in practicing interview questions and answers.
What I did today
Today we learned about the personal and professional benefits of volunteer work, and where to look for it. The class worked on professional documents, and I tried to polish my resume. We finished the class by practicing interview questions and I love this part because the practice always shows me what to do (or not to do!) all practice is good practice
What I Did Today?
Today, I found a volunteer opportunity with a police department on Idealist. I also completed the O*NET Interest Profiler and practiced mock interview questions. Have an amazing weekend everyone!
What I Did Today.
I responded to questions Carrie asked in class and worked on my work history for my SSDI application.
Today I learned
Today I learned that I should be more to the point on the negative leadership and more general. I don’t need to vent in that intervew space. I also checked in about my employment goals today.
What I Did Today
Today we did formal mock interviews with real interviewers. I dressed business professional and practiced calming down before, and during the interviews. I gained some really valuable interview practice, and some extremely valuable feedback about what I did well, and areas for improvement. I’m starting a document of interview feedback that I can reference for a lifetime. I found this feedback extremely useful and I’m excited to practice it.
What I did today
Today we presented our tech articles to the class, which I always find so fascinating. I love being able to talk about technology with fellow enthusiasts and talking about where the different technologies we discuss converge.
For the remainder of class, we worked on the “building a PC for a purpose” lab, which I thoroughly enjoyed, as I am a total computer geek. I discovered it is much cheaper to purchase the parts and build your own PC, rather than purchasing a pre-assembled one from a manufacturer
Today I learned
Today I learned how much cheaper it is to build a pc vs buying a pc. I enjoyed learning about which part does what. Also had the core check in and that was good to know I need to write everything down.
What I Did Today?
Today, I learned about the difference between a virtualized PC that has better specs than an inexpensive office PC. I spoke to Devin and Carrie about my progress in class, and overall, I’m doing well! Lastly, I spoke to Jose about my portfolio.
What I Did Today 2-11-26
I practiced my typing, worked on my elective and Berkmart Conference assignments, practiced creating Zoom meetings, and had my check-in meeting with Carrie and Devin.
