Today I learned about providing great customer service. We did some jeopardy and then I completed the independent challenge.
Today, I clocked into homebase upon logging in. I, together with everyone in class, watched a customer service video and shared our thoughts about it. Then we did some challenge ‘jeopardy’ activities. Lastly, we did some independent work, which took us to the end of class today.
I forgot to clock-in Homebase. We did the typing game We played a game similar to Jeopardy to test our skills with Google Workspace. We worked on our formatting for our resumes with Mike’s help. We did tests in Google Docs and Spreadsheets then reviewed common mistakes.
Today we continued with Google apps training in the form of a board game, but mostly worked on the independent challenge to the end.
Today is the first day of my first week as an intern with CTP. I started by clocking in on Homebase and sending a good morning message to everyone in the telegram chat. I checked in with Devin three times today to let him know what I was doing and keep track of my progress. I spent the three hours looking for job listings as well as listings for career fairs and job fairs. Chatgpt really helped out a lot and came in handy. I posted five job listings and five job fairs on the website. One of the career fairs was also a networking event. I am so glad that I learned in training how to right click and save an image so I could add a picture to the job fair listings to make it stand out more. I am nervous but excited about getting my first project on Wednesday. I want to try my best and do a good job. Wednesday is also my zoom check in with Carrie and the other Lisa. Looking for job listings is harder that I thought it would be but I am learning a lot so far from this experience. I feel hopeful about this internship and gaining adminstrative work experience.
