We reviewed our mock interview feedback. The presentation was on the STAR method, situation, task, action, and result. We looked at some typical interview questions and shared as a group to practice the STAR method. We expanded on the questions by completing what was in our job log then shared our responses to some of the questions.
What I Did Today
It was another great day at CTP! I continued searching for the best job listings to help our participants find opportunities, exploring multiple sites to uncover valuable possibilities. I understand firsthand how much work and positivity it takes to navigate a job search, and I enjoy encouraging participants to keep networking and pursuing the right job—it will come!
In addition, I worked on my business outreach project, connecting directly with outside organizations to see if they are interested in volunteering with CTP. I reached out to several organizations and look forward to receiving responses.
I truly enjoy working at CTP and am grateful for another productive and rewarding week supporting our participants.
What I did today
Today was the second day of my internship with CTP. Yesterday, i found job listings on Indeed so today I decided to look on Linkedin. I found three IT support jobs for our CTT students and graduates. I will focus on one job section a day such as IT or Customer Service and Administrative or posts three jobs for each category not sure yet but I will learn as I go. Clocked in this morning and sent my morning message. I logged on to Zoom but I did not know on Fridays there is no morning sessions so I just log on three days a week. Carrie helped me fix a problem with WordPress. Remembering to check in during my shift is something I need to work on. ChatGPT really helped me with writing the job listings and I was able to finish within the first hour. I am still learning how to post job listings but it went well today. I am learning a lot with this internship and I am treating it like a really job by getting dressed every morning. Next week will be my first full week and I am looking forward to getting my first assignment and starting my first project.
