What I Did Today

Today I practiced typing using a regular keyboard instead of my laptop keyboard. It felt a little different, so I know I’ll need to spend some extra time practicing to get my speed back to where it usually is. In class, we continued working on our Portfolios, and both Mike and Marc spent time helping us understand what to include and how to improve our work. Overall, it was a productive day, and I made good progress.

What I Did Today.

Jose delivered an Introduction to Networking presentation.

I took a ton of notes. I still have a ton of questions about subnetting after having watching the Skillsoft module on the topic but hopefully things will start to make more sense as I get more hands-on experience with project work.

Great day overall.

What I learned today

Today I learned some fundamentals of networking, such as IP addresses, Subnets, and gateways. I feel like I truly learned something, although my brain is truly overwhelmed with the volume of information. I am enjoying the challenge that this class has brought to me.

What I Did Today

I learned about “why learning networking,” the basic concepts of Basic Network Device Configurations, Internet Protocols, Types of networks, Private and Public IP addresses, and subnets. I also continued with the installation of Windows 10 Pro using VirtualBox and the Virtual Machine Manager. Lastly, I learned about what a public and private IP address is and how the addresses are used.

What I Did Today

Today we started class with our typing practice, and afterward Marc reviewed our Work Conflict Accountability assignments that are due on Thursday. He also walked us through the Core Training Portfolio Template and shared helpful ideas for what to include in our portfolio slide presentation. I spent most of the class working on my slides and then finished the day by updating my WordPress blog.
