What I did Today

Dear CTP,

Today we had a busy schedule, we did not have enough time to get to everything so I’ll break down what we accomplished.

Phone Setup, was fairly easy with Jose’s help.
Basic Phone Skills & Sunshine Express Phone Scripts, these were very helpful and fun to use. I’d like a little more practice.
Writing a Professional Email, We are using What I did today as a professional email assignment.
Useful Phrases for Professional Communication, Included in above assignment.
How to Create an Email Signature, Included in above assignment.
Assignment: Professional vs Informal Email, this was also covered in great detail and the importance and distinction between the two.

Sincerely, Nicole

Independent Challenge Check-In, not enough time.

What I did Today?

To whom it may concern,

Today in class I typed for 15 mins, did phone services as the employee, caller and manger with Joe, Jaden and Lucy. When it came to the transferring calls, I had some trouble in doing so. After Jaden explained on the steps in doing so, we all tried again with me being the employee and I was able to transfer Jaden to Joe, in doing so I felt accomplished, and I saw Joe smiling which tells me I made the transfer successfully. In conclusion as a class Jose reviewed what a professional email looks like, which is why I am writing this letter to you.

Thankyou

What I Did Today

Dear Staff,

Today began with a round of typing practice to help warm up. Afterward, I had a brief conversation with Employment Services before rejoining the main group.

Together, we reviewed and practiced the Sunshine Express Phone Scripts, which proved to be a valuable learning experience for everyone involved. To conclude the day, we explored how to write professional emails, applying that knowledge directly to our “What I Did Today” posts.

I found this session especially helpful and look forward to using these skills to ensure my future communications are clear, professional, and effective.

Sincerely,

Joe

What I Did Today

Dear CTP,

Today, I started out practicing my touch-typing. I did a pretty good job, but because it is very hot where I live right now, I was a little distracted and did not really get the kind of final score I tend to get.

For the remainder of the first hour and most of the second hour, we were divided into groups and practiced using the softphone application. We practiced doing scenarios of a regular phone call, calls where we placed the other caller on hold, and even calls where we did one of two forms of transferring callers to other employees.

For the remainder of the second and final hour, we went over what goes into drafting a professional email. The things we are supposed to do, so that it comes across as a professional message and not a casual, text-like message to a friend or family member.

Thank you for reading this,

Sincerely,

What I Did Today

To whom it may concern,

Today we continued practicing with our phone programs, using Sunshine Express scripts as we paired up with other students. We each took turns acting as the customer and the customer service representative, going over practice scenarios 1 through 5. There was a bit of technical difficulty in the middle of practice with the other callers, but it was swiftly resolved as we finished the last 2 scenarios and wrapped up for the day.

Thank you for your time,

Jaden

What I did today

To whom this may concern,

In today’s class I completed the assigned phone calling practice in customer, employee and manager roles with my partner and group. I also attended the presentations on phone and professional email etiquette.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do before the end of the workday to set us up for Wednesday’s class.

Thank you,

Lucy,

Student at CTP PRO customer service course

What I Did Today

Today, we started off with touch-typing practice. I did over 90 wpm on my first score, but that went down to the mid-to-high range within 80 wpm for my next one. Next, we looked at a video about Customer Service that provided some important highlights of what makes great customer service as well as a couple examples in the beginning of what NOT to do. Afterwards, the rest of the class was dedicated to an independent challenge after we did a quick overview of styles and other elements of Google Docs. I completed the screenshot for the browser window, Docs editing, and the Spreadsheet within today’s session. I spent the remaining time for class watching some of my current course on Percipio.
