I clocked-in though Homebase. We did a 3 minute type test but it wasn’t my best performance because typing on my laptop slows me down a bit. We role played as a customer service person who is dealing with a return of a product like a beverage or food. A Core student, Mark T, graduated today. We did the Rose Bud, Thorn exercise and shared with everyone. Mark also shared his portfolio of accomplishments with us in a presentation. Also volunteer DeAndre joined to share his experience after graduating from the program which was encouraging.
What I Did This Week
This was a great week. Focused on customer service scenarios via role play, videos, and accountability assignment. There was a Google Docs Jeopardy Challenge. Also Mock Interviews went great. After I got over my nervousness, all went well. My typing still needs improvement, but this week has been a great learning experience.
What I Did Today
Today I logged into the training platform and clocked in at Homebase. I completed touch typing tutorials to continue improving my typing accuracy and speed. I focused on consistency and maintaining proper technique throughout the exercises. I also drafted and finalized my professional “Rose, Bud, Thorn” reflection email as part of the end-of-month assignment. Additionally, I participated in the Customer Service role-play activity where I took turns to be the customer and cashier.
What I Did Today 3-26-2026
Some of the things I did today include writing my Rose, Bud, & Thorn email, and participating in the Sunshine Express customer service role-playing.
What I did today
Today I wrote an email reflecting on this month. Then we role-played some customer service scenarios.
What I Did This Week
This week, we learned about good customer service and also did the independent challenge. I looked up the COUNTIF function online, and it worked for my independent challenge, which I was pleased with. We worked on email signatures and learned the difference between cold and warm transfers, and got some good phone practice. On Wednesday, we had mock interviews with AAA, and they went well. I challenged myself to go totally, or 99%, off-script, and it went fine. Today we did the end-of-month typing test, rose, bud, and thorn monthly email, customer service scenarios, and the graduation ceremony. So proud of Mark!
What I did today,
I practiced typing for around 15 minutes.
We practiced the ” Customer Service role” in groups.
It is Marc Ticer’s graduation day!
Let’s celebrate it!
What I did today
After I found three job listings to post on the website, I worked on the google slides presentation. Carrie looked at it and told me what changes to make. I changed the template to something more professional. She said it was fun but also needed to be clean and professional. I used Chatgpt and asked it how to make a professional google slides presentation. They gave me an outline that I can use but I will have to work on it tomorrow. I took too much time asking chatgpt questions which is on me for doing that. I wanted to finish it by today but I have to wait til tomorrow. I will try my best and use all the suggestions to make a better presentation. This is internship is harder than I taught and more work than I realized. I know that I am strong and will keep pushing through it.
