What I did today, 6/15

Started the day by clocking in at HomeBase. Then started on the pre-lab. Then started the main lab, which has to do with setting up computers on a network. We went over how to set up a router and connect it to the other VMs. Then did our “what we did today” post before clocking out for the day at HomeBase.

June 15, 2026

We started our network lab today, connecting the PfSense to our Windows and Debian (Linux virtual machines). We did a pre-lab by answering some questions on our knowledge of networking, and by finding the definition of some computer terminology. That was actually interesting. Last, we had a demo on how to actually connect the 3 systems so that we can work on our lab this week. I am excited to have this knowledge and maybe even show it off to my husband, hehe.

What did I do today?

Today we have Employment Services session with Carrie. She is a great teacher. We worked on LinkedIn today, the first half of class. I totally forgot to update my profile. Carrie shared a website called Upslash. This website has images that you can upload for your background. I found a really nice one that fits my personality. We also worked on interview questions for the last hour of class. I’m getting better at it. I’ll be ready for next week!

What I learned today

I learned many helpful tips to improve my LinkedIn presence, particularly to tailor certain sections to the job I want and also to request recommendations.

I appreciated the chance to work on interview questions re: explaining my resume gap and what is my preferred work environment.

What did today, 6/12

I started by logging into Zoom and was going to log into HomeBase, but forgot to do so. Then we talked about how mock interviews went. then watched a video about making a LinkedIn page. Then we got to work on our LinkedIn page. Then we worked more on our interview questions. Then ended the day with doing the “what I did today” post and self-assessment page.
