What I did today

Today, I learned about following up with the hiring manager after putting in my application which I did not know of before. I think I did a good job on my voicemail message. Worked on adding skills and education to my Linked in profile. Fixed my work experience page too on LinkedIn. Carrie asked a fun icebreaker question and I found out Bonnie likes the same group that I do. Looking forward to having no class next week and taking a little break.

What Did I Do Today

Today we started the class with a presentation about application and how to properly follow up after you filled out the application. Two ways to do that are through phone and email. We then went on to do a few practices on the following. Writing an email to [email protected] and call and leave a voicemail on the microsip application with extension 1006. Then I worked on my cover letter and the interview practice questions during the next hour. The last hour was practiced as a group doing interview questions and answers and went around the zoom room. Lastly we wrote our what i did today post.

2/27/25

Today was weird. I was watching a LinkedIn video and I had a breakdown. I miss my nursing license and I feel ashamed that I have to look for an entry-level position with no skills. I’m too old to start over trying to get the skills for a job that I don’t even want.

we went over some interview questions.

does anybody actually read these?

What I did Today?

There was a discussion on how do a follow up on a job application over the phone or by emailing the person. Then we did a project on pretending to be the applicant emailing or phoning in on Carrie as she is the person from the company. Then we did our document lab time in doing resumes, cover letters, Linked-In profile, etc. Near the end, we did an icebreaker question and practiced some interview questions.
